Frequently Asked Questions
Tarter makes galvanized steel raised bed planters, Tradition Series and Modern Series steel planters, a one-piece steel fire ring and a 7-piece portable fire pit.
Tarter raised bed planters are galvanized steel. Tradition Series planters are 21-gauge galvanized steel with a powder-coated finish, and Modern Series planters are 20-gauge steel with a hammered powder coat that resists rust and corrosion.
Tarter raised bed planters need no tools or assembly. Modern Series planters ship flat with easy-to-follow instructions and all the hardware and tools included, so you don’t need any tools of your own.
The Tarter Fire Ring is a one-piece galvanized steel ring, 36 inches across and 12 inches tall, that sets in place with no assembly and comes in galvanized or black. The 7-Piece Portable Fire Pit is plate steel with a high-temperature powder coat, comes in Micro, Small, Medium and Large sizes, and assembles in under 2 minutes without tools, so it’s the better choice if you want to move it.
Tarter raised bed planters, Tradition Series and Modern Series planters, the Fire Ring and the Portable Fire Pit each carry a 1-year warranty.
Tarter raised bed planters are 12 inches tall, deep enough for most vegetables, herbs and flowers. The Square and Triangle Troughs also come in a 2-foot height for deeper-rooted plants.
